A classic Malay song for your continous Valentine celebrations :-)
This song below is a hidden gem from Aishah.
To my dear wife, I dedicate this to you ...
Artis : Aishah
Tajuk : Kasih Kita
Telah lama ku lalui
Perjalanan penuh ranjau
Dan berduri
Kini tiba cahaya cinta suci
Menerangi
Diriku yang sepi
Meskipun ada yang mengeji
Memang lumrah insan di dunia ini
Hasad dengki
Usah didengarkan
Bersabarlah
Menempuhi
Pertama kali
Aku bahagia
Kau menerima diri ini
Insan biasa
Punya kelemahan
Dalam menempuhi
Cabaran
Aku juga tak mengharapkan
Intan permata
Kemewahan
Cinta yang murni
Keikhlasan hati
Semoga berkekalan
Kasih kita
Hati berkuntum harapan
Agar hidup takkan sendiri lagi
Doa restu dari yang tercinta
Fahamilah
Cinta mulia

To Be Alive
It's Valentine Day in a few days time .... ;-)
For lovers, ah ..hehe ... day for romance and stuff like that ... ;-) ... but, a few days go, there was a moment where I remembered how a past crush can bring some bittersweet. For the record, D got married late last year, and I am happy for her.
It was around late 90s, and we were far apart.. I was in KL, and she was the east coast ... and I kinda liked her.. So, one time, I burned her a cd with the songs below ..
1. Puji2an - Raihan
2. Tiada Lagi Cinta - Ruffedge
3. To be alive - Def Leppard
4. I want it that way - BSB
5. Dia - Cokelat
6. Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park
7. Nirwana - Gigi
8. Sometimes - Britney
9. I see your smile - Gloria Estefan
10. Kisah Klasik Masa Depan - Sheila On 7
11. Listen - Johnny Hates Jazz
12. Kangen - Chrisye
I think there was a theme somewhere ... but cannot remember la which one ... The one song that reminds me of her whenever I hear is the song below ...
To Be Alive - Def Leppard -
I know you don't believe it
Like I believe it
Oh no, it's not your fault
You sit alone inside a room
Wait for the world to come to you
They never do
It must be something that you can't let go
It hurts that you won't let me know
Every time you want to
Any time I touch you
I can't help to be myself
I hold on to this moment
Any time is right to be alive
And then in conversation
I love the way you mention
Nothing's ever gone your way
With a hammer in your hand
You spell out a master plan
We never learn
It must be somebody holding your heart
Something that tears us apart
Every time you want to
Any time I touch you
I can't help to be myself
I hold on to this moment
Any time is right to be alive
And I don't think that it's right
To let love pass by
Any time of life
It's good to be alive
Every time you want to
Any time I touch you
I can't help to be myself
Yes, every time you want to
Any time I touch you
I can't help what I feel
But it sure feels real
I wanna hold on to this moment
Cause babe it sure feels right
To be alive
To be alive
To be alive
Note : On one fine afternoon, on a bus from KT to KL, I listened to this song over and over, while reading this novel :-) ..
=====
However, later .. she told that she was in a relationship with someone, even before she met me ... hehe .. it was frustrating ..but I am a good sport ... so okay la ... I didn't regret a single thing
In the end, you give your best shot. If it doesn't work, at least you knew it then ;-) ... that is my advice to the love lorn out there ... take it from me, a veteran of lost loves, who has finally found his happiness ... "D
To D, thanks for the memories ;-)
