It's Over

I am over it already. It happened a few nights ago. I will move on finally. There is still more things on the horizon that I have to do.

Still, I kinda figured bits and pieces of why I do some things that I do. Of course, I won't share much with you guys, ;-) ... but the theme seems to be recapturing past glories / memories.

Last Post 2008

Hmm .. nice picture of fireworks eh ;-) 

2008 merupakan tahun yang sgt2 mengujakan. Pelbagai perubahan berlaku, positif dan negatif tetapi kebanyakannya positif :-) Satu perkara yang telah saya belajar tahun ini ialah untuk bergerak ke hadapan, tembok - tembok  di hadapan kita MESTI kita panjat untuk kita maju.

Areas of Review

Family - hidup suami isteri ni byk cabaran dan kegembiraan. Tidak mcm kisah2 romantic comedy .. ada pahit dan manisnya ... yg pasti, syukur pada Tuhan kerana anugerahNya .. Linda n Zara make my life 'interesting' ... and maybe la ,... just maybe .. no 2 will come along ... ;-) I understand my parents better nowadays ... being a parent has taught me that. Pada Pa n Ma, you did your best for me and I will always be thankful for that. 

Career - oklah first full year ... loads of challenges and it was fun ! Honestly, I love this gig .. and this where I will be ;-) ... I have a lot to improve and I will do so...2009 will see the beginnings of the PHD ( playa hater degree ) :P ..

Personal - the weight ... dulu turun then naik balik ..now maintain ... 2009 by my birthday ( June 09 ) .. it will be different :) ... the demons .. they are further and further back ...

Biz Interests - earlier in the year, I was only interested in one field ... and for the past month, I have included two more ...:-) all are still at their baby steps ... I am following the suggestion that one should have MSI ( multiple streams of income ).. and online seems to be the BEST option for me ;-)

In summary people, the upcoming 2009 will be another interesting year sbb the path looks better and better and clearer ;-) ... All the best and may your wishes come true !

Last Post of 2007

The theme of this final post is " The More Things Change, The More It Seems Normal" :-)

Well, the last day of 2007 is upon us. 2007 has been a very momentous year for yours truly. So many things that I have done. So many things I wish I did. So many things I wish I didn't do .. ;-)

I am still a work in progress. However, this year I have been brave to try some new things

Family

The arrival of Zara :-) Our precious princess ... life has been different with her around for us .. but she is a joy and a blessing. I am still learning on my role as hubby and daddy ( something yg I think will never end ) ... overall, I am grateful for mi familia.

Personal

I have in some part achieved some of my personal goals 2007, overall I give myself a passing grade. But I will do better in 2008 in the major areas of my life.

Career

Earlier this year, I set a goal that I was to be in the academia by September 2007. Honestly, it was a minor joke actually, to begin with. I just started work at my previous workplace as an Account Manager and probably leaving there was the last thing in my mind. It was a nice place, but my soul was not in it in the end. When I received my Masters in May, I knew academia was my calling. For a while, my efforts were really fruitless, but I stuck to it. Getting my current gig is a minor miracle and syukur alhamdulillah, it is a blast so far. Honestly, it is not work I( cross my fingers ! ) so far. I am blessed with a good boss and loads of people around willing to help.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if there is ONE lesson I learnt this year and wish to impart to all of you is this simple statement : YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN LIFE :-) No one else is ...

So Many Happy News

Today has been a good day ( personally ) for good news of friends.

To Acat n Cookie, the fruit of their offspring is on the way. Even though it is still early, take care okay !! The story on her and his blog about the news is quite interesting ... hehehe .... I am still reminded the day my wife told me that she was positive and carrying Zara. The first word that came out was " Alamak ! '  hehehe .... but I didn't get morning sickness ;-) Acat apparently is ... :D

To Binxie, this piece of news was really good ! Imagine, her rezeki and to top it off, she is going back to her old place with a better position ( and better pay ). This lady deserves it, after mcm2 that she has been through .... ACCA, her old office bla2s ... it's true kan Binx, what does not kill you makes you stronger ;-)

Both news helped to cheer up my day a bit. Especially what happened earlier in KL ... but that is another blog.

In The Memory Of Susanna Jafri Tay

I met her formally first time on Sept 6, 2003. We were introduced earlier through a friend and began texting each other before the meeting.

She was an interesting person... we shared a love for Indon teen movies .. we saw Ada Apa Dengan Cinta, Eiffel I'm In Love and Ungu Violet .. we would talk about various stuff. The more I knew about her ... the more I could sense that she was a kind soul who had some bad luck when it came to personal matters. In spite all of that, she loved her family ( especially her dad ), more than they will ever know, she was a great friend to her friends and a great colleague ....

Getting the news from my friend Zylia this morning and checking it in the papers was a shock. We drifted apart since early last year, due to personal differences. Our YMs were brief .. she became secretive and didn't say much. When she got married, it was through a friend that I found out about it. It was a hush hush matter.

My regret is that I didn't follow up on her ... I wanted her to have her space with her hubby ... now, I googled her name .. and got to know a few things .. she had transferred to Skudai and she was 7 mths pregnant with their first born. A wave of sadness and guilt is passing over me as I am writing this post. We had some really good times .. and I counselled her a lot when she texted/called me about her problems.

One of my fondest memories with her was the LOTR Trilogy marathon at TGV Sunway Pyramid that I went with her and her friends ... we had a good time and I loved the experience. And the Indonesian movies we shared..

Susan, saya dan rakan2 lain akan merindui mu ... keceriaan and semangat happy go lucky mu akan kami ingati. :-) ..terima kasih kerana menerima saya and memahami saya.... it is so true, when they say that you only miss someone after they are gone ....
