Tommy Page Is Gone

Beberapa hari lepas, keluar berita penyanyi Tommy Page mati disyakki bunuh diri. Benar atau tidak, tak pasti, tapi lagu-lagunya popular buat generasi 90an.

A shoulder to cry on, dan I'll be your everything masih kekal dalam ingatan ini. Lagu A shoulder to cry on pasti mengingatkan diri ini pada satu ketika yang segar dalam memori Jasin. Nanti saya updatekan ceritanya.

Kata-kata dari album ke 2 beliau Paintings in my mind.. "A picture is moment captured in the memory, while a painting can be anything imagined by the mind ... Soon, all these pictures will become paintings ..."

February 2017 Dalam Kenangan

February 2017 mengajar aku mengenai apa yang benar dan apa yang maya. Bila sudah terpaksa buat, baru sedar sebenarnya boleh buat. Aduh! Dan apa yang ingat boleh buat, rupanya impossible.
Benar kata Einstein mengenai perkara gila .... You are condemned to repeat the lesson as long as you don't learn And apply it!

Perkara Gila

Mempercayai si  penipu berulang kali dan mengharap hasil yang berbeza setiap kali adalah perkara gila.

Sebenarnya kita tidak pernah berhenti merancang, dalam apa pun bidang yg kita ceburi. Macam2, tapi tinggal rancangan saja, kerana tiada tindakan

Jadi, buatlah tindakan ye..

Music is my soul

To deny something that is a part of you is useless, and music is a part of me.
The journey in music began for me in early childhood, assisted by my father, who kept playing Air Supply in the car where ever he's going anywhere.
I listen to most songs, importantly the melody. If I dig, it's on my playlist.

That's why I have boybands, girl band, hair metal, and others.

Gotta feel your soul, right? :)

You know what when you know this

Secara ringkas, bila anda tahu apa yang anda mahukan, anda tahu apa apa yang anda mahukan. Anda akan merangka strategi and rancang tindakan yang anda akan lakukan.
When it is simple, it is clear ....

Simplicity In Focus From Wisdom

When wisdom hits you, you become wiser. The only problem with wisdom is that the road to get there usually is painful, nauseating and excruciating.
Watching 'Becoming Warren Buffet', I am struck by his simplicity of his success. Of course, it involved hard work and determination, but what I really liked was Warren knew what he wanted and worked his butt off. And he was happy doing it,
And he focused on the financial markets, and stuff related to it. Singular post.
As I am in my early 40s, it struck me home, made me realized that was the key to my failures. Focus n knowing what you want, and planning it. Step by step

Plan A dan Plan B

Satu perkara yang saya pelajari beberapa hari lepas, ialah perlunya kita meringkaskan perkara2/benda untuk membuat keputusan. Choose A or B, no C.
It is not limiting your choice, it's about simplifying. Choose two best options and decide. Make the choice and move on.
Minimalism in practice? Hmmm ....

Syukur Itu Indah

One thing about social media is that it allows people to post things they are doing. During the last few weeks, I have seen posts of my friends travelling all over the world. It made me realize that I loved travelling (still do), and I miss it.

So, instead of being envious of them, I chose to be grateful and happy for them that they are enjoying their travels.

I know my time with la familia will come eventually.

Envy and Wrath

If you have not seen the movie Seven, this  post contains spoilers for the movie.

In the ending of the movie Seven, the killer played by Kevin spacey was talking, or psyching, the detective played by brad Pitt, about the last of the two deadly sins, envy and wrath, that he had committed. Envy was when he saw the perfect couple of the detective and his wife played by Gwyneth paltrow. Wrath is when he say the detective will do to him what he committed because of his enviousness. Which actually happened since the killer killed the wife and sent the wife's head to the meeting. The detective just lost it and killed the killer thus fulfilling the final sin, wrath.
When I saw this scene, I totally got the killer's motivation. Myself, I get a bit envious and angry when I see the mofos who f'ed me up during my school/college years, doing well nowadays. Facebook is such a bad envy tool. Not all the time, but the anger is there.
So what stops be from being the badass, is the feeling of gratitude, and believe in what goes around comes around eventually.
But still, there are those dark times ...

Kisah Botol Kaca Nescafe Pecah

Malam tadi semasa emo tentang masa lalu, aku lalai dan menyebabkan botol kecil nescafe jatuh pecah.
Geram, marah dan menyumpah2 diri sendiri, atas lalai dan serabut yang dibuat, salah sendiri.
Setelah melepas geram, terus fikir apa nak buat, dan lakukannya.
Kutip dan buang  sampah.
Mop dan cuci kawasan yang kena
Vakum untuk pastikan serpihan kaca semua habis dikutip.
Pastikan semua dah okay.
Selesai

Settle semua.. Learnt lesson .. It's okay to vent and rant .. Then take action to resolve the problem. 

I think that's the solution to my past emoes. Take actions to get the future you want.

Lesson learnt :)

Nak buat apa untuk terus hidup

Satu persoalan yang ringkas tapi susah untuk dijawab, Nak buat apa untuk terus hidup. Persoalan ini bermain di kepala hujung 2016 lepas.
Dunia ini kian dinamik. If you don't change, you will be changed.
Yang pasti, keluarga diutamakan.
And leaving no major regrets on the deathbed.

3 Songs About Turning Back Time

One time or the other, we want to turn the back the clock. Me too. I get nostalgic for old memories, want to redo some stuff I did.

I woke up from this want when I realized two things

• The past made us what we are today. Love it it hate it, embrace it and learn and apply from it.
• The present is all we have to affect our future. Focus and work on the now for a different and hopefully better future.
