From Yourself 2 Heaven

1) Open Yourself
The past week, something has been brewing up in my mind. It all began since the Afdlin Shauki show. My good friend who went along with me, commented something about me that got me my mind working on the matter for the past few days.

According to her, I am a great conversationalist ( yes ;-) I know I am charming ... hehehe ) ..but, what I talk about actually doesnt reveal much about what I am. ( ? ) ..." dah camtu, how la they want to get to know you and be interested in you .. " ... referring to my eternal 'woman problems.

Talking to my best friend yesterday, I actually asked him about his thoughts on what she said .. what he said in summary, after a long explanation is simply this .. you have to share yourself if you want to share your life with others... "

Hmm ... interesting point to think about ...

2 ) The Love Thang

I took the quiz below

How You Are In Love

You take a while to fall in love with someone. Trust takes time.

You tend to take more than give in relationships.

You tend to get very attached when you're with someone. You want to see your love all the time.

You love your partner unconditionally and don't try to make them change.

You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

heheh ... all I can say is *wink*

3) Stress Ball

A few nights ago I went to a Promuda Toastmasters event. It was my second time, first being last year. A fellow blogger is the current President and one of the members is a blogger whom I think is a cool person. Essentially, it is an avenue for public speaking for those who want to improve. For me, that's cool plus the networking opportunities yg ada ...

One of the events is what they call Table Topics, where anyone present can speak off the cuff, with an idea given by the moderator. For that night, the speakers were given an item and was asked to tell why they bought the item for a loved one. So, I participated and picked out a yellow stress ball. Okay .. so I made up a story of buying for a loved one, as the person was stressed and I hoped that by giving him that, when the person squeezes it, the person remembers me .. sounds a bit sexual eh , even they were laughing, making sexual innuendos .. hehe .. borderline .. it was spontaneous ..in the end, my last line was this .. " life is a like a ball, you get rolled around, but in the end, you keep your shape " ... from the top of my head.. fikir2 balik .. I think it's true in a way .. the president kata it was my forrest gump quote :-)

4) Heaven

I saw this movie earlier tonight, with my best friend. It was okay la and kind of a sweet romantic comedy. At times, the David character wallows around .. n I knew how it felt, because I used to do that. In the past, when a lady rejects me, I would wallow ..asking myself ..why not me ? When my lady friends would ask me , where have all the good guys gone .. I would ponder why they never saw me more than a friend ..

Now, I have the choice to choose my response. Nowadays, I just let go if it does not work out or I feel like it's not going anywhere .. and if any lady asks me that question again .. I'll answer .. " You have not chosen a good one yet "

The power of choice :D

HP4, Sharp Nose n Karaoke

1) Harry Potter 4

Ok ok .. this is like the umpteenth review of Harry Potter that you have read ;-p but bear me la ye .. hehe .. I saw on Thursday at TGV 1 Utama ..:-) .. my rating - hmmm.. two thumbs up ..but a bit unsatisfied ... ;-p .. from what I know the Goblet of Fire was a thick one .. so making it into one movie was a daunting task. That's why I felt a bit unsatisfied I guess.. the important elements were in, but somehow ..some stuff were missing... anyway, .. please don't let that distract you from enjoying the movie. The movie itself shows Harry's 4th year .. yeah, the hormones have kicked in.. the teen scenes were brief but sweet ;-p .. I still think Harry n Hermione should do the jiggy but .. hey, I'm not JK :D .. the tone is darker following the last movie and there is death n violence .. so if u r bringing kids, beware ya .. they might be shocked especially, the last 30 minutes or so. I enjoyed Voldemort's intro or how he came in.. eww, the way Wormtail did it ... and Malfoy is a bad nigga anyway.

2) Sharp Nose

The last weekend was filled with open houses .. makan2 sampai semalam MC. heheh ... I met old friends, made new friends ... main2 dgn my anak buah ( yes, I hope to have my own kids one day mcm this post ;-p ) .. must be the clock ticking thing ....

Also, I learnt n finally understood this lesson, " Kalau hidung tak mancung, pipi jangan la tersorong - sorong " .. I think dulu I applied the lesson in the wrong situation n circumstances .. but now, I know. Have to let go ....

3) Karaoke

I like karaokeing .. melalak free .. heheh .. last few days, I had two chances to sing .. one with family n one with friends ... both opportunities, I found a new favorite song to sing .. my rule in karaokeing is simple .. to sing the song, you gotta have the feel for it ..

This is the song I sang with most feel ;-p

I Love The Way You Love Me -Boyzone-

I like the feel of your name on my lips
And I like the sound of your sweet gentle kiss
The way that your fingers run through my hair
And how your scent lingers even when you're not here

And I like the way your eyes dance when you laugh
And how you enjoy your two-hour bath
And how you've convinced me to dance in the rain
With everyone watching like we were insane

But I love the way you love me
Strong and wild, slow and easy
Heart and soul so completely
I love the way you love me

And I like the sound of old R 'n' B
And you roll your eyes when I'm sloppily off key
And I like the innocent way that you cry
At sappy old movies you've seen thousands of times

Chorus

(Listen to me now)
And I could list a million things
I love to like about you
But they could all come down to one reason
I could never live without you

..later..

ps/ I saw Afdlin Shauki on Saturday with a good friend. Verdict : Hilarious !! :-)

Mcm2 Ada

Last weekend was a very good and interesting one. My next post will be full of stories ;-P ..now tak leh sbb takde masa ... but here is something cute that came in my mailbox ...do enjoy ;-)

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?

(written by kids)

(1) You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like

sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the

chips and dip coming.

-- Alan, age 10

2) No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to

marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who

you're stuck with.

-- Kristen, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?

(1) Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by

then.

-- Camille, age 10

2) No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get

married.

-- Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age)

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?

(1) You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at

the same kids.

-- Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?

(1) Both don't want any more kids.

-- Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?

(1) Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know

each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough. --

Lynnette, age 8 (isn't she a treasure)

(2) On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that Usually

gets them interested enough to go for a second date.

-- Martin, age 10

WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?

(1) I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the

newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.

-- Craig, age 9

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?

(9) When they're rich.

-- Pam, age 7

(2) The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with

that.

- - Curt, age 7

(3 ) The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry

them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.

-- Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?

(1 ) I don't know which is better, but I'll tell you one thing. I'm never

going to have sex with my wife. I don't want to be all grossed out.

-- Theodore, age 8

(2 ) It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need

someone to clean up after them.

-- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?

There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?

-- Kelvin, age 8

And the #1 Favorite is........

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?

Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.

-- Ricky, age 10

cute kan ? ;-) ... esp the last one .. hehehe

ada apa dengan marriage ya ? .. ;-)
